Looking for Radical Love I am a 35 yr old artist/activist/professional whose is hungry for constant growth. I am a believer in infinite possibility and fostering that belief in others. Laughter is a soul balm and I apply it often in my life. I believe in asking hard questions and receiving hard answers. As I know better I strive to do better. And in all this I seek to have compassion for where people are in their journey at this moment. I believe in judging institutions and holding deep compassion for humans. I have an insatiable appetite for learning, a slight addiction to the History Channel, CNN, BIO, and Discovery. I love politics but am passionate about social justice. I feel beauty in my body just as it is and build improvement from that place. MY perfect world has a constant and healthy helping of good books, poems, music, conversations, friends, cups of coffee, glasses of wine, dinners, pairs of stilettos, pretty dresses and people!
I want to shake the world with my gifts and I want lots of kisses OFTEN!
At this current moment, I am building a global multi-ethnic, multi-gendered, comprehensive international movement called The Body Is Not An Apology. It was created to foster Radical Self Love and body empowerment. We want to see a world full of humans IN LOVE with themselves as they are and desiring to embrace all self improvement from that space. I am also using my career as a performance poet to bring awareness around social justice issues and human healing and writing poems about evil fake cheeze products! Also working on my first one woman full length performance piece.
I am regularly working to dismantle my fear so if it scares me I will probably do it(within reason, some fear is real healthy), up to and including (1.shaving my head for healing purposes, ask me about it. 2.posting my corset pic. TERRIFIED) Besides poeming around the globe, I am trying to live an unprecedented life.
