Eyes Wide Open I have to just say right off that I’m a deep thinking guy and thus really need a deep thinking lady. That is, while I enjoy escaping as much as the next person I like to balance that out with activities on the intellectual and artistic side, which might be viewing a deep thinking film (I teach film and media studies so love watching interesting films) or some other art venue, partaking in some multicultural event, or just sitting and chatting over some important issue over coffee/drink/food. That doesn't mean I can't get worked up over the latest pop culture headline, but to my mind the most stimulating conversations (and strongest foundation for long term sparks in a relationship) stem from thought provoking chats. (And if you’re looking for someone who can rock your world intellectually – literally – I promise you that I’m your guy!
In terms of my personality, I'm very easy going, and I like to think (and have been told) that I am thoughtful, attentive, open minded, and affectionate; I am a good communicator and listener, all of which, I believe, are incredibly important to successful relationships.
Moreover, I am definitely open to exploring new interests and activities (especially as I think it is important to be interested in one's partner's interests). I am also active (working out, hiking) and am trying to convert to a healthier eating regime (and mostly succeeding!).
I am looking for someone who roughly shares my interests, tastes, and beliefs; to my mind, while differences can enrich and generate sparks, there can be a real profound "spiritual" bond between two people who go beyond physical (emotionally intimate) unions (though of course that is crucial as well to sharing connective experiences. More specifically, I am looking for an independent, earthy, intellectualish woman who can in equal measure enjoy to the fullest our short time on this planet while also taking an interest in the world around her!
