theroadlesstravelled I have had a rather unconventional career since 1991 working for non= profit organizations as a labor and community organizer. My last position was with Jackson County Fuel Committee in Ashland Oregon, we helped organized heating resources for low income families so they could afford energy costs and food, plus were involved in weatherization and alternative energy for low-income families. I have been successful in helping low-income families survive with food, clothing, health care and heat among other resources despite economic disaster in their community, making a difference in changing and improving economic and political conditions in low- income communities, those are the successes that are important to me and that I am proud of.
I am honest and a person who is empathetic and a good listener. I have a lot of people skills and most of my life work as been working with people . I don’t have a big wish list of things I want in a friend or partner except someone who shares some of the same interests and values. I would rather just meet a person and get to know (!) them. Rather than set up some list of expectations in advance. I am looking for someone who likes to sing out loud while listening to their I pod or maybe even break out and do a little dance if a good tune comes on, someone who doesn't mind some one unconventional. I like the outdoors, bowling, dancing to rockn'roll, watching football. . Right now I am not working I am helping a family member and looking for different options for my future, something that will be helping people but maybe will allow me more time to develop other interests like female relationships. I want to meet someone to share activities with that we both enjoy and become friends; I think that is the way to build a longer lasting commitment.
