I have been different pretty much all of my life and in recent years, I have tried to conform with and fit in with the mundane and normal people around me--not happening!

Last week, something changed my life, woke me up, and I said, "I am not like ordinary people, I don't want to be like them, and I finally want to meet someone who is angry and upset about what is happening in our world and who wants to actually do something too.

The sinking of the Ady Gil by Japanese whalers last week finally did it. After reading in complete detail what actually happened, I was so angry, but had nowhere to vent.

I went onto the Sea Shepherd website, and as I was reading about Captain Watson and his fiery defense of whales and his determination never to give in, I said, "That is my kind of man--kind, gentle, strong, brave, fiery and will not compromise his principles". That is who I am and that is the kind of man I want to be with.

I was on a regular dating site and immediately changed my profile completely and stated I am interested in an activist---I am not interested in someone looking to retire and fill up their time with meaningless activities and make their grandchildren their life.

I am ready to find a man with whom I can share this passion for animals, for justice and economic equality and for all the other humanitarian causes I can be involved with and actually do something to change these circumstances in any way we can. I am not looking for a pacifist. I am looking for someone who acts!

Currently, I am not working at a paying job, but I am tutoring some children for free and am going to begin classes soon to become a CASA volunteer, court appointed volunteer advocates for children who are being removed from their homes.

I do not want to have to work at a miserable job again (I have had to do that enough) and I will be retiring at the end of this year. I cannot wait. Then, I will be totally free to give my time where ever and whenever I can.
