I'm new to the passions network, but, I joined because I feel strongly about many things. Being politically active, active in your community, spiritual as well as mundane... Those two things alone require networking and proper communication. I wish to meet others of a similar mindset.
Some of the issues that I feel strongly about include: the ASPCA and animal rights in general; Political activism (am a liberal Democrat)^^; I am an advocate for GLBT rights, as well as Elder rights and individuals who are physically or mentally challenged. (My long term goal for the next year and a half is to start working on my bachelor's of Nursing, focusing on Psychology. Alhough I'm not up to date on current terminologies, this is where my passion in health care comes in at.)
Why be active in the fields that you love? Simple. **If you don't make your voice heard, how will change ever be accomplished?** I'm sure people tried to change Gandhi's mind, or told Martin Luther King Jr. to give it, this is the way it's always been. Well, aren't you glad they didn't listen?
