Activist Support System I work as a domestic violence advocate. I am passionate about the work that I do and would like to meet others who work in similar fields that share this passion so that we can form a strong support system for one another. Working as a victims advocate has been one of the most aesthetically rewarding experiences of my life. However, it is the nature of the work we do to experience vicarious trauma through those we work with. By creating a safe place for us to talk to each other and share our stories I feel we can become a strong support group for one another. My hope is that this would help alleviate the occurrence of burn out that we so commonly experience and therefore help us to more effectively contribute to the movement which we are a part of.
